What this cover is made of

The Hanging Egg Chair Cover is cut from 420D polyester with a silver coating. That combination gives it two jobs: it keeps water out and it resists UV light. The fabric is black, so it blends in with most patios and porches.

A zipper runs along the cover so you can open it wide and slide it over the chair. When the season changes, rinse the cover with water and let it dry fully before you fold it into the storage bag.

Sizes for single and double egg chairs

Hanging egg chairs come in more than one footprint, so this cover comes in two sizes. Measure your chair before you pick.

Both sizes ship in black. If your chair sits close to a wall or under a roof, check the height and width first so the cover can hang without pulling.

How to put it on

1. Let the chair cool and dry if it has been in direct sun or rain.
2. Unzip the cover and drape it over the top of the chair frame.
3. Pull the fabric down over the seat and sides.
4. Close the zipper so the cover stays in place.
5. Tuck any extra fabric under the base so water runs off instead of pooling.

The cover is not a hard shell, so it follows the shape of your chair. That makes it easy to store flat when you are not using it.

Where it works best

Use it on a porch, a deck, a balcony or in a garden. It suits single and double cocoon style swing chairs. Because the material is waterproof and UV resistant, it can stay on through rain and strong sun. Take it off before high winds if your chair is light enough to tip.

Care and storage

Rinse the cover with water to clear dust and pollen. Let it air dry completely, then fold it and place it in the storage bag. Do not put it away wet. A dry cover stores smaller and stays ready for the next season.
