The Oxford Balcony Privacy Screen is a fabric panel you attach to a railing, fence line or frame to block sightlines around your outdoor area. It suits balconies, porches, decks, patios, backyards and pergolas.
The fabric is PU-coated Oxford cloth. The PU coating is what makes the panel waterproof and UV-resistant, so it stands up to sun and rain through the season. The material is light enough to hang from a railing yet dense enough to screen the view beyond it.
Each order includes 1 privacy screen. No hardware, ties or poles are included, so plan your attachment method before the screen arrives.
Four sizes are available. Measure your railing or opening before you order, and remember that the height is the shorter side.
| Size | Metric |
|---|---|
| 35 x 118 in | 89 x 300 cm |
| 35 x 197 in | 89 x 500 cm |
| 35 x 236 in | 89 x 600 cm |
| 30 x 236 in | 76 x 600 cm |
A short balcony rail usually takes the 35 x 118 in (89 x 300 cm) panel. Longer runs, such as a full deck edge or a wide porch opening, fit the 35 x 197 in (89 x 500 cm) or 35 x 236 in (89 x 600 cm) sizes. The 30 x 236 in (76 x 600 cm) size is slightly shorter in height and works well where you want a lower profile.
If you are covering a long span, two panels side by side often look neater than one stretched panel. Order the number of screens that matches your total length.
Five colors are offered: Dark gray, Black, Light gray, Cream white and Sand.
Dark gray and Black read as solid and understated, and they hide outdoor dirt well. Light gray and Cream white keep a space feeling open and bright, which helps on smaller balconies. Sand sits between the two, a warm neutral that pairs easily with wood, brick and stone.
All five colors come in the same PU-coated Oxford fabric, so the choice is about look, not performance.
The screen has grommets along the edges, so you can fasten it with cord, zip ties, hooks or bungee cords. Run your ties through the grommets and around your railing, fence post or frame, then pull the fabric gently taut.
A few fitting tips:
To clean the screen, rinse it with water and let it dry fully before you store it. Fold it rather than stuffing it into a bag, and keep it in a dry spot between seasons.
This is a single-piece fabric screen, not a rigid fence panel. It softens a view and blocks direct sightlines, and it also cuts some sun and wind along a railing. It is not a load-bearing barrier, so do not lean on it or use it as a safety guard.
Because the fabric is waterproof, rain runs off rather than soaking through. The UV-resistant finish helps the color hold up through long sunny stretches. Rinsing and drying before storage is the main thing that keeps the fabric in good shape year after year.
It is made of PU-coated Oxford fabric. The coating makes the panel waterproof and UV-resistant for outdoor use.
