What it is and what it is made of

The Rope Tie Balcony Privacy Screen is a fabric panel made for outdoor spaces where you want a little more seclusion. It is made of polyester and finished to be waterproof and UV-resistant, so it stands up to sun and rain through the seasons. The fabric hangs flat and stays put once you tie it down.

This screen suits balconies, patios, decks, porches and backyards. Use it along a railing, between posts or across an open side of a deck. It also works around a pool area or garden seating where you want to block sightlines without building a wall.

Sizes

Four sizes are available. Measure the span you want to cover before you order, and leave a little slack for tying.

The first number is the height of the screen. The second number is the length. The 30 x 236 in (76 x 600 cm) option is slightly shorter in height, which can suit lower railings.

Colors

Five colors let you match your space or blend in with your building.

• Dark gray: a deep neutral that hides dirt well.
• Light gray: soft and bright, good for lighter facades.
• Black: strong contrast and a clean look.
• Beige: warm and natural against wood and stone.
• Sand: a light tan that sits quietly in the background.

All colors come in every size, so you can order the same shade for more than one section of your balcony or patio.

How to fit and use it

The screen has metal grommets along the edges. Thread the included rope through the grommets and tie the screen to your railing, posts or frame. The rope ties give you a simple, tool-free setup you can adjust by hand.

A few tips for a clean hang:

• Start at one end and work your way across so the fabric stays even.
• Pull the rope snug, but not so tight that the grommets strain.
• Tie off the loose rope ends so they do not flap in the wind.
• For long spans, use a post or railing support in the middle to keep the screen from sagging.
• Check the ties after strong winds and retighten as needed.

Because the material is waterproof, rain runs off rather than soaking through. The UV-resistant finish helps the fabric hold its color when it sits in direct sun. On very windy days, you can roll the screen up and secure it, or take it down and store it flat.

Care

A little care keeps the screen looking good season after season.

• Rinse with a garden hose to remove dust and pollen.
• For deeper cleaning, wash by hand with mild soap and cool water.
• Rinse well and let it air dry fully before you roll it up.
• Avoid harsh cleaners, bleach and hot water.
• Store the screen dry and flat or loosely rolled when it is not in use.

Each order includes one privacy screen and one rope. Nothing else is needed to hang it. If you plan to cover more than one opening, order one screen for each section.
