The Harbor Shield Grill Cover is a fitted outdoor cover for grills and griddles. It shields the cooking surface, knobs and side shelves from rain, dust and direct sun. The fabric is 210T Oxford cloth, a lightweight woven cloth with a smooth hand. It is waterproof and UV-resistant, so it stands up to everyday patio weather. The top is gray and the hem is black, a clean two-tone look that reads well against most decks and patios.
This is a simple cover with a simple job: keep your grill ready to use. It is not a hard shell and it is not insulated. It is a soft fabric cover that drapes over the unit and stays put.
Five sizes are available. Measure your grill at its widest point, including side shelves and any handles, then compare that number to the length in the table. If your grill falls between two sizes, choose the larger one so the cover sits loosely and does not strain at the seams.
| Size | Best for |
|---|---|
| 31.5 x 26 x 39.4 in (80 x 66 x 100 cm) | Small two-burner grills and compact griddles |
| 39.4 x 23.6 x 59 in (100 x 60 x 150 cm) | Tall or narrow units, including some vertical smokers |
| 57 x 24 x 46 in (145 x 61 x 117 cm) | Mid-size three and four-burner grills |
| 67 x 24 x 46 in (170 x 61 x 117 cm) | Large four and five-burner grills |
| 74.8 x 28 x 46 in (190 x 71 x 117 cm) | Extra-large grills and full-size griddles |
Sizes are listed as length x width x height. A cover that is a few inches longer than your grill is fine. A cover that is too short will not reach the bottom of the legs.
The cover comes in one colorway: gray top with black hem. The gray body reflects some sunlight, which helps keep the surface underneath from heating up as fast on hot days. The black hem adds a defined edge and hides the dirt that tends to collect near the bottom of a cover. There are no logos or prints on the fabric.
Let your grill cool completely before you put the cover on. Heat can damage the cloth and any leftover grease can stain the inside.
For griddles, remove loose tools and scrape the surface before covering. The cover is not dishwasher safe, so keep it out of the kitchen. It is also not designed for food contact, so do not use it to wrap food or line a cooking surface.
On windy days, the cover can lift at the corners. A simple fix is to run a bungee cord or a length of rope under the grill and over the cover, or to set a small weight on the top edge. Do not tie the cover so tight that it pulls on the knobs or the lid handle.
Rinse the cover with water and let it dry fully before you store it. A quick rinse removes dust, pollen and bird droppings. If the fabric is very dirty, use a soft brush with plain water and a mild soap, then rinse again. Do not machine wash and do not put it in a dryer.
Dry the cover flat or hang it over a railing in the shade. Once it is completely dry, fold it loosely and keep it in a dry spot for the off season. Storing a damp cover traps moisture and can leave marks on the fabric. With basic care, the cover stays flexible and ready for the next grilling season.
Each order includes 1 grill cover. No tools, ties or storage bags are included. Pick your size from the options above before you add it to your cart.
Measure your grill at its widest point, including the side shelves, and match that number to one of the five sizes. If you are between sizes, choose the larger one. The cover is a universal fit and is not cut for a specific model.
Yes. The 210T Oxford cloth is waterproof and UV-resistant. It keeps rain and dust off the grill between cooks. Let the grill cool before you cover it.
Yes, it is made for outdoor use. Rinse it with water and dry it fully before you store it for the season. A dry cover lasts longer than one packed away damp.
Rinse it with water and let it air dry. For heavier dirt, use a soft brush with mild soap and water, then rinse again. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
