This is a woven HDPE net made to soften direct sun over a garden, patio or greenhouse. It blocks about 40% of the light, which takes the edge off strong afternoon sun without turning the space dark. The dark green color blends in with plants and lawn.
HDPE holds up well outdoors. It resists stretching and tearing, and it does not mind getting wet. The net is not waterproof, so it will not keep rain off what is under it. Treat it as a sun shade, not a rain cover. Each corner has a metal grommet, so you can tie it to posts, rails or a frame with rope or cord.

Narrow strips like 3.3 x 6.6 ft (1 x 2 m) suit a single garden row or a small window of sun. Wider sizes like 6.6 x 13.1 ft (2 x 4 m) cover a patio corner or a greenhouse roof section. Long runs like 3.3 x 26.2 ft (1 x 8 m) work along a fence line or over a row of raised beds.
Dark green is the only color for this net. It reads as a natural shade over soil, grass and leaves, and it does not glare in bright light the way pale fabrics can.
Plan where the sun hits hardest. Morning sun is softer, so most people cover the west or south side where afternoon heat builds up.
Run rope or cord through each corner grommet and tie it to a post, rail, fence or frame. Pull the net fairly tight so it does not sag or flap in the wind. A sagging net catches wind and can tear at the grommets over time.
For a garden bed, set four posts at the corners and string the net across the top. For a patio, hook it to an existing pergola or railing. For a greenhouse, lay it over the roof panel and tie the corners to the frame.
Leave a gap between the net and the plants or surface below. Air moves through the weave, and that airflow is what keeps the space under it cooler. A net laid flat on leaves traps heat instead of blocking it.
You can also double up two nets for more shade in one spot. Each net gives about 40%, so two layers cut the light further. Keep in mind that more layers also mean less airflow.
This net is not waterproof. If you need rain cover, use it together with a solid cover rather than on its own.
Rinse the net with water to clear dust and pollen. Let it dry fully before you fold it and put it away. Store it in a dry spot out of direct sun when the season ends. Check the grommets and ties now and then, and retighten the rope if the net starts to sag.
No. It is not waterproof, so rain passes through the weave. It is made to block sun, not to keep water off.
It gives about 40% shading. That softens strong sun while still letting light and air through.
Each corner has a metal grommet. Run rope or cord through the grommets and tie the net to posts, rails or a frame.
There are 14 sizes, from 3.3 x 6.6 ft (1 x 2 m) up to 9.8 x 13.1 ft (3 x 4 m). All come in dark green.
