The Verdant HDPE Shade Net is a woven mesh cover made from HDPE. It is UV-resistant, so it holds up under strong sun. The mesh lets rain pass through instead of trapping water on top. Each corner is reinforced and fitted with a metal grommet for a secure tie-down point. The net comes in green with green edging. It is a single-piece net, and mounting hardware is not included.
You pick two things: the shading rate and the size.

Measure your space before you order. A net that is too small leaves gaps at the edges. A net that is too large can sag in the middle. If you are covering a patio, a pergola, or a row of plants, match the net to the span you need to cover.
The net is green, and the edging is green as well. The HDPE mesh is woven, so air moves through it and heat does not build up underneath the way it can under a solid cover. The weight range is 50 to 100 gsm. The mesh is not coated, and it is not waterproof. It is designed to let rain through, which keeps water from pooling on top.
Lay the net over the area you want to shade. Pull each corner out so the mesh sits flat. Use the metal grommets at the corners to tie the net to posts, rails, hooks, or a frame. Since mounting hardware is not included, plan your tie-down points before the net arrives. Rope, bungee cords, or zip ties can work, as long as they pass through the grommets.
For a patio or pergola, attach the net above head height and angle it slightly so rain runs off. For a garden bed or greenhouse, set the net high enough that plants have room to grow underneath. For a sun shade over a seating area, leave a little slack so the net does not pull tight in the wind.
You can also overlap two nets for more coverage, but keep in mind that overlapping changes the shading rate. Two 45% nets overlapped do not give you 90% shade, but they do give more than a single layer.
Rinse the net with water to remove dust and pollen. Let it dry fully before you store it. Store it folded or rolled in a dry place. Do not store it wet, because moisture can lead to mildew over time. Check the grommets and edging each season for wear, and replace the net if the mesh tears or the corners pull loose.
The net works for both home and garden use. Pick the 45% rate when you want filtered light, and the 80% rate when you want deeper shade. Pick the size that matches your span, and use the grommets to tie it down.
No. The HDPE mesh lets rain pass through. It is not waterproof, so it is not a replacement for a solid cover when you need to stay dry.
The 45% rate gives lighter shade and lets more sun through. The 80% rate gives heavier shade for patios and areas that need more relief from direct sun.
No. Mounting hardware is not included. You will need rope, cords, or ties that fit through the metal grommets at each corner.
Rinse it with water and let it dry fully before storing. Keep it folded or rolled in a dry place so moisture does not cause mildew.
